Is tallow actually good for skin? +
Yes. Grass-fed tallow is rich in skin-compatible fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. These support your skin barrier and help it function the way it's supposed to.
Will it clog my pores? +
No. Tallow's fatty acid profile is remarkably similar to the oils our skin already produces. Because of this, most people find it absorbs well and doesn't cause congestion. Everyone's skin is different, so a patch test is always a good idea if you're unsure.
Is it safe during pregnancy? +
The unscented options — Nourish, Restore and Pure — are generally preferred during pregnancy as they contain no essential oils. Glow does contain essential oils, so check with your healthcare provider if you're unsure.
Can it help with eczema? +
Many customers with eczema-prone skin find tallow soothing because it supports the skin barrier. Restore (our thickest balm) and Pure (100% tallow) are the most popular choices for this. We'd always recommend checking with your doctor for persistent skin conditions.
Does it smell like beef? +
No. Properly rendered tallow has a mild, neutral scent. Our unscented products have barely any smell at all. Glow has a gentle, natural fragrance from its essential oils.
How do I store it? +
No refrigeration needed. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight. Shelf life is around 12 months unopened.

Back to the basics.
For years I've been interested in what we put in and on our bodies — choosing natural options wherever possible and learning from traditional ways of living. During that journey I kept coming across an ingredient our ancestors relied on for generations: grass-fed tallow.
The more I learned, the more it made sense. Tallow is incredibly compatible with our skin and rich in nourishing fats that help support a healthy skin barrier.
I began making small batches at home and sharing them with friends and family. Before long people were asking for more, telling me how soft, calm and nourished their skin felt.
